PM Modi inaugurated rail and road projects, including 10 new Road Over Bridges (ROBs), flyovers, permanent ghats, and riverfront roads. These developments aim to provide seamless connectivity and cater to the large influx of devotees expected during the Mahakumbh.
Aligned with the commitment to a "Swachh and Nirmal Ganga," projects targeting the interception, diversion, and treatment of drains leading to the river were launched. These initiatives will ensure zero untreated water discharge into the Ganga.
Spiritual Tourism and Temple Corridors
The Prime Minister unveiled major temple corridor projects, such as the Bharadwaj Ashram Corridor, Shringverpur Dham Corridor, Akshayvat Corridor, and Hanuman Mandir Corridor. These corridors aim to enhance accessibility for devotees and promote spiritual tourism in the region.
PM Modi also launched the "Kumbh Sah'AI'yak" chatbot, designed to provide real-time updates and guidance for devotees during the Mahakumbh 2025.
The Mahakumbh, a significant religious event held every 12 years, will take place from January 13 to February 26, 2025. Key bathing days, including "Shahi Snan" on January 14 (Makar Sankranti), January 29 (Mauni Amavasya), and February 3 (Basant Panchami), are expected to attract millions of devotees.
To bolster security for the anticipated crowd, Uttar Pradesh Police will integrate Artificial Intelligence and advanced CCTV systems, according to Director General of Police Prashant Kumar.
These projects signify a comprehensive effort to combine spiritual, infrastructural, and technological advancements, ensuring a smooth and enriching experience for attendees at Mahakumbh 2025.
