PM Modi lands in the US for three-day state visit, set to attend QUAD leaders' summit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in the United States on Saturday to commence a three-day diplomatic visit.

During his trip, the PM will participate in the QUAD Leaders' Summit and the Summit of the Future at the United Nations in New York.

In addition to these major international forums, Modi is expected to engage in crucial bilateral meetings aimed at strengthening ties with key global partners.


In a statement before his departure, Modi expressed enthusiasm about joining his counterparts, stating, “I look forward to joining my colleagues President Biden, Prime Minister Albanese of Australia, and Prime Minister Kishida of Japan for the Quad Summit.”

Furthermore, Modi said that the forum has become a vital alliance of like-minded nations dedicated to fostering peace, progress, and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific.

Additionally, Modi is scheduled to meet with Biden for bilateral discussions.

"My meeting with President Biden will provide an opportunity to evaluate and explore new avenues to enhance the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership, benefiting both our nations and the global community," he noted.

Upon arriving in Wilmington, Modi will take part in the Fourth Quad Leaders’ Summit, where the agenda will include assessing the Quad’s advancements over the previous year and formulating strategies for future collaboration in the Indo-Pacific.

Modi remarked, "I look forward to the deliberations at the Summit."

Moving further, Modi will engage with CEOs from prominent US companies to enhance collaboration in key sectors, including artificial intelligence, quantum computing, semiconductors, and biotechnology.

The Prime Minister will also interact with thought leaders and other influential figures involved in the India-US relationship.
