PM Modi hails India’s 12-year transformation, pushes Atmanirbhar Bharat & semiconductor growth

From the ramparts of the Red Fort, Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted India’s transformation over the last 12 years, saying the country has moved beyond the ‘Fragile Five’ tag and gained new momentum. He cited major growth in defence production, electronics, mobile manufacturing, digital transactions and infrastructure. PM Modi also stressed the importance of Atmanirbhar Bharat, ‘Make in India’ and Swadeshi, while highlighting India’s semiconductor push, saying three major plants have begun production and 5-8 more are expected in the coming years.
