PM Modi gets Uzbekistan’s top honour: Read full list of 35 global honours

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been conferred Uzbekistan’s highest state honour, the ‘Oliy Darajali Do’stlik’ (Order of Friendship), taking the number of international honours bestowed upon him to 35, according to a post on platform X by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The honour was presented to Modi during his visit to Uzbekistan and recognises his contribution to strengthening ties between India and Uzbekistan.

The BJP, in its post, said the honours conferred on Modi by countries across continents reflect the “growing global stature of India” and the deepening partnerships forged under his leadership.

According to the list shared by the BJP, Modi has received the following honours:

• Indonesia – Bintang Adipurna of the Republic of Indonesia
• Slovakia – Order of the White Double Cross, 1st Class
• Norway – Grand Cross of the Royal Norwegian Order of Merit
• Sweden – Royal Order of the Polar Star, Commander Grand Cross
• Oman – First Class of the Order
• Israel – Speaker of the Knesset Medal
• Ethiopia – Great Honour Nishan of Ethiopia
• Namibia – Order of the Most Ancient Welwitschia Mirabilis
• Brazil – Grand Collar of the National Order of the Southern Cross
• Trinidad and Tobago – Order of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago
• Ghana – Officer of the Order of the Star of Ghana
• Cyprus – Grand Cross of the Order of Makarios III
