PM flags off five new Vande Bharat trains: Mumbai-Goa, Patna-Ranchi among new routes
Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off five new Vande Bharat trains physically from Rani Kamalapati Railway Station in Madhya Pradesh's Bhopal on Tuesday.
In his interaction with BJP booth workers in Bhopal, he said the trains will boost the economic connectivity in the country.
He also said, "I congratulate my brothers and sisters in Madhya Pradesh as they get two Vande Bharat Express trains today. The journey from Bhopal to Jabalpur will be faster and more comfortable now."
Vande Bharat trains that have been flagged off are-Bhopal (Rani Kamalapati)-Indore Vande Bharat Express; Bhopal (Rani Kamalapati)-Jabalpur Vande Bharat Express; Ranchi-Patna Vande Bharat Express; Dharwad-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express and Goa (Madgaon)-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express.
The Bhopal (Rani Kamalapati)-Jabalpur Vande Bharat Express will connect Mahakaushal region (Jabalpur) to Central region (Bhopal) of Madhya Pradesh. The train will be nearly two hours and 30 minutes faster than the existing fastest train on the route. Tourist places in the region will see a boon by the enhanced connectivity.

The Goa (Madgaon)-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express will be Goa’s first Vande Bharat Express. Covering a distance of 586 km, it will connect Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus to Goa’s Madgaon station. It will also link Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Khed, Ratnagiri, Kankavali stations in Maharashtra and Thivim in Goa.
Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Union ministers Narendra Singh Tomar and Jyotiraditya Scindia, among others, were also present on the occasion.
