PM Modi arrives in Australia: Receives grand welcome by Indian diaspora; trade & defence in focus

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Melbourne on a three-day official visit to Australia, where he received a warm welcome from the Indian diaspora. The Australian Indian Orchestra performed ‘Vande Mataram’, while members of the community greeted the Prime Minister with cultural performances and patriotic slogans. During the visit, PM Modi will hold bilateral talks with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. The discussions are expected to focus on defence, trade and investment, emerging technologies, education, mobility and people-to-people ties.
