Lucknow: A fresh plea seeking a ban on entry of Muslims in the Gyanvapi mosque considering discovery of the claimed shivling and handing over the premise to Hindus was transferred by a civil judge of Varanasi to a fast-track court on Wednesday, hearing for which will take place next Monday.

The plea was filed by Kiran Singh, international general secretary of the Vishwa Vaidic Sanatan Sangh, as next friend of the deity lord Adi Vishweshvar, demanding a ban on entry of Muslims in the premises and handing over the complex to Hindus. This means the deity himself is the petitioner in the plea.

Another application was filed seeking permission to conduct regular prayers at the "shivling" which will also be heard on Monday. The court of civil judge Ravi Kumar Diwakar fast-tracked the plea a day after the district court decided to hear the Anjuman Intezamia Committee's plea questioning the maintainability of the suit seeking permission to pray to the Hindu idols inside the mosque, which had led to the survey which in turn led to the sighting of the shivling. Thus, the case will be disposed of speedily.

The report, which contained mention of the shivling, was submitted last week and the district court invited objections to it from both parties on Tuesday.
