As per a TOI report, during a review meeting in Ayodhya on Thursday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath instructed officials to request local hotel owners to cancel advance bookings made by individuals who are not invited by the trust. Priority should be given to those invited by the trust.
Apart from the accommodation arrangements made by the trust in Ayodhya, arrangements will also be made for pilgrims to stay in Dharamshala and hotels at fixed rates. On January 22, only individuals with invitation letters or those deployed on government duty will be allowed to come to Ayodhya.
It has been observed that some people have made bookings at local hotels and Dharamshalas on the day of the pran pratistha ceremony on January 22. These bookings should be cancelled to ensure smooth management. Special invitees from across India will visit Ayodhya on that day, and approximately 100 planes are expected to arrive at Ayodhya airport. Arrangements should be made for any necessary diversions.
Ayodhya District Magistrate Nitish Kumar stated, "We are currently investigating the bookings made by hotels and examining the customers who have reserved rooms. If any discrepancies are found, appropriate action will be taken."
