In a heartfelt tribute, Trade and Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal honored the late industry leader Ratan Tata, who recently passed away, during his address at the First Annual Symposium hosted by the Indian Foundation for Quality Management (IFQM) on Wednesday.

Goyal hailed Tata as a visionary who played a key role in advancing India's global image.

"At the outset, I'd like to pay my respects to Ratan Tata, a doyen of industry, somebody who led from the front, took charge under very difficult circumstances, but truly created an international conglomerate which makes India proud," Goyal said.

He credited Tata for "taking the Brand India across the world, across borders, and truly showcasing to the world that we can do it."

Goyal also highlighted Tata’s leadership style, saying, "While being a tough taskmaster, he did it in a very kind manner, which gives us a lot of lessons on leadership."
