Piyush Goyal lays out 4-point plan in Tokyo, pitches India-Japan ‘Shark Tank’-style startup series

Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, addressing a startup roundtable in Tokyo, invited Japanese investors to co-invest in Indian startups and proposed a “Japan-India deeptech capital corridor” to support early-stage innovation. Goyal also proposed an India-Japan startup pitching series modeled on “Shark Tank,” saying Indian startups could pitch for Japanese investment while Japanese startups could seek partners in India.
