PIL in SC seeks action against officials and extra safety measures

A PIL has been filed in the Supreme Court, seeking directions to put in place safety measures and guidelines for pilgrims in wake of the recent stampede at Mahakumbh in UP's Prayagraj.

The plea also sought legal action against authorities and officials for their negligence. The PIL has demanded arrangements for announcements, display boards in Indian languages so that people from other states do not face problems and can get help easily.
