YouTuber in Telangana booked for making video featuring 'peacock curry' recipe
A YouTuber has come under scrutiny and legal action in Rajanna Sircilla district for allegedly uploading a video claiming to show how to prepare a "peacock curry." According to preliminary investigations by forest officials, the YouTuber's intent was to attract more viewers to his channel, leading him to use misleading content.
Upon learning about the controversial video, forest officials visited Tangallapalli village where the video was reportedly filmed. They discovered that the curry featured in the video was actually chicken curry. A sample of the curry has been sent for forensic analysis to confirm its contents. A case was filed against the YouTuber on Sunday following the incident.
"A case has been registered under concerned law and strictest action would be taken against him and anyone else doing such activities," said Akhil Mahajan, SP Rajanna Siricilla district, on X.
The video, titled "traditional peacock curry recipe," has since been removed after animal rights activists highlighted the issue.
