When Bill Gates handed Prime Minister Modi a set of nutrition books, Modi returned the gesture with a treasure trove of Indian delights, neatly packed in a special gift box. This box wasn't just any box—it represented India's 'Vocal for Local' initiative, showcasing the nation's rich culture and tech prowess.

Inside, there was a cozy Pashmina shawl, perfect for chilly evenings. And to add a burst of color to culinary adventures, there was the finest saffron, along with Darjeeling and Nilgiri teas, famous teas from India. Adding a touch of elegance was a Thoothukudi pearl, known for its shimmering beauty, nestled among the goodies. And then there was a terracotta murti, a miniature work of art representing India's vibrant culture.

In their chat, Gates praised India's tech strides, especially in AI, while Modi humorously linked AI to everyday life, even a baby's cries.



He also said, "...AI is very important. Sometimes, I jokingly say that in our country, we call our mother 'Aai'. Now I say that when a child is born, he says 'Aai' as well as AI as children have become so advanced."

They discussed India's focus on AI, with projects like IndiaAI to drive innovation. Modi also talked about empowering women through programs like Namo Drone Didi, giving them drone skills for rural growth.
