Pakistani couple stuck at Attari border name their newborn Border

Bala Ram and his wife Nibhu are a Pakistani Hindu couple who along with wife Nibhu, four more children and around 100 Hindu pilgrims are at the Integrated Check Post (ICP) of Attari.

A child has been named Border after his birth at the Attari international border.

"We have named him Border since it will always remind us of our hardships at Attari border, especially spending cold nights out in the open," Times of India quoted Bala Ram, father of the child, as saying.

Bala Ram and his wife Nibhu are a Pakistani Hindu couple who along with wife Nibhu, four more children and around 100 Hindu pilgrims are at the Integrated Check Post (ICP) of Attari.


Due to the expiry of their Covid reports and lack of an exit letter, they couldn't return.

They are waiting for completion of their paper formalities.
