Thakur, a former CM, said the Indian government's reply would be very "tough", which would be "beyond their imagination and would shake the soul of the terrorists and its protectors".
This, he said, was an attempt to spoil Jammu and Kashmir's peace. "The way innocent people were killed after asking their identity, it cannot be the work of any human being," he said.
The BJP leader also lashed out at the state government, alleging that it has led the state into "total mess" as the it has failed on all fronts. Thakur said the Congress government has not fulfilled even one of its promises.
People are out on the roads protesting against the anti-people policies of the state government and employees, contractors have started strikes, he said.
