Union home minister Amit Shah visited Pahalgam's Baisaran Valley in southern Kashmir on Wednesday, where he interacted with the officials of Army, police, CRPF and other investigating agencies to chalk out a future strategy in the aftermath of the terror attack.

Later, Shah also participated in the wreath laying ceremony of the tourists killed in the attack at the Police Control Room in Srinagar, before the mortal remains were sent to the respective cities for last rites. "With a heavy heart, paid last respects to the deceased of the Pahalgam terror attack. Bharat will not bend to terror. The culprits of this dastardly terror attack will not be spared," said Shah.

The Union minister along with Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and chief minister Omar Abdullah met the injured at a hospital in Anantnag and assured them of all the help and support from the government. Shah also met the survivors and family members of the tourists killed in the attack. "Every Indian feels the pain of losing their loved ones in the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. This sorrow cannot be expressed in words," said Shah, adding, "I assure all these families and the entire nation that these terrorists who killed innocent people will not be spared at all."

Shah arrived in Srinagar on Tuesday evening, within hours of the terrorist attack and chaired a security review meeting here. He also had a detailed meeting with J&K CM and other senior officials.
