New Delhi: With over 5,000 exhibitors and participation from more than 120 countries, Bharat Tex 2025 has drawn significant global interest and this year’s event is built around the twin themes of resilient global value chains and textile sustainability, textiles ministry said Friday. The UAE’s Apparel Group, Russia’s Melon Fashion Group, and the US’ One brand are among the key prominent brands.
The expo covers the entire value chain of textiles including fibre, yarn, fabrics, garments, made-ups, home textiles and technical textile.
“This year’s event also enforces India's 5F vision – Farm to Fibre, Fabric, Fashion, and Foreign Markets, positioning the country as a reliable and sustainable sourcing destination for global textile companies,” the ministry said.
The main event is being held from February 14-17, 2025 at Bharat Mandapam while related exhibitions such as accessories, garment machinery, dyes and chemicals and handicrafts, are being held from February 12-15 at the India Expo Centre and Mart Greater Noida.
Sudhir Sekhri, Chairman Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) said that Japan has the largest number of apparel buyers represented in this show, followed by UAE, Iran, USA, Spain, UK, South Africa, Russia and Australia.
“Sustainability has become a central theme in the global textiles industry and Bharat Tex 2025 is committed to promoting eco-friendly practices. Kasturi Cotton brand promoting home-grown organic cotton- an important milestone in India’s quest for sustainable fibre- will be in full display in all its glory,” said Mithileshwar Thakur, Secretary General, AEPC.
The event will also showcase sustainable innovations including organic fabrics, recycled materials and energy-efficient production technologies.
“Green and sustainable story presence at Bharat Tex is closely aligned with India’s national strategy on decarbonisation and net zero emission,” Thakur said.
