Over 250kg IED recovered along Indo-Myanmar border in Manipur

The recovery was made while carrying out an area domination patrol along the borders, the alert troops detected well concealed boxes.

Assam Rifles had on Monday recovered about 243 numbers of improvised explosive device from the Indo-Myanmar border at Moreh.

The 43rd Assam Rifles that is deputed at Moreh about 197 numbers of IED weighing between 250gm and 500gm has been recovered, while 33 numbers of 3 kg weighing, four 4 kg weighing and nine 5 kg weighing explosives were recovered.

"A cortex wire, that is often used to connect the explosives have been recovered along with two 12 volt batteries to charge those," said a media intimidation from the Moreh battalion of Assam Rifles.
