‘Our political ties have never been stronger’: Ursula confirms India reached top of global politics

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said India and Europe’s political ties have never been stronger, calling the India-EU free trade agreement a “decisive moment” in bilateral relations. Speaking at a banquet at Rashtrapati Bhavan, she announced the launch of an India-EU security and defence partnership, stressing that both sides are choosing dialogue, cooperation and strategic convergence at a time of global fragmentation.
