"The entire nation salutes our forces for their valour," Modi said as India commemorated the one-year anniversary of Operation Sindoor.
He affirmed that the joint military operation reflected India’s firm response against terrorism and an unwavering commitment to safeguarding national security. Operation Sindoor also highlighted the professionalism, preparedness and coordinated strength of our armed forces, the prime minister said.
It also showcased the growing jointness among India's forces and underlined the strength that the country's quest for self-reliance in the defence sector has brought to the national security, Modi asserted.
He affirmed that India remains as steadfast as ever in its resolve to defeat terrorism and destroy its enabling ecosystem.
In another post on X, PM Modi shared a Sanskrit verse, saying the extraordinary victory achieved by India in Operation Sindoor is an inspiring example of the remarkable valour and patriotism of its brave soldiers.
"Every citizen of the country takes pride in their indomitable courage, unwavering resolve, and dedication to duty. A warrior with an exalted mind and vehicles, O Bharat. In whose army these are present, surely declare victory for him," he wrote.
This operation was carried out in retaliation to the April 22, 2025 terror attack in Pahalgam in which 26 people, mostly tourists, were killed.
