So far, a total of 918 Indian nationals have been flown out of Israel.
The government formed Operation Ajay to help Indians who wanted to return from Israel—where there is a fierce struggle with the militant group Hamas. Thus far, four flights have been operated under this programme.
The third flight, carrying 197 passengers, landed at the Delhi airport early on Sunday, Arindam Bagchi, spokesman for the External Affairs Ministry said on X..
He also took to X to inform that the fourth flight, carrying 274 passengers, has landed in Delhi while also sharing passenger pictures.
India has launched 'Operation Ajay' to facilitate the return from Israel of those Indians who wish to come back home, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar announced on October 11 . Special charter flights and other arrangements are being put in place for the same, said Jaishankar. According to estimates, around 18,000 Indians are currently residing in Israel.
The first flight carried 212 Indian nationals and landed in Delhi on Friday. It was followed by the second one which carried 235 people landed here on Saturday.
