Ooty flower show
The 126th annual flower show has started at the government botanical garden (GBG) in Ooty. The festival, which was inaugurated by chief secretary Shiv Das Meena in the presence of agriculture production commissioner Selvi Apoorva, will also feature laser shows on the first and last day of the show.

Dates and timings
The exquisite flower festival began on May 10 and will continue till May 20. The festival is open to public everyday during these days from 9 am till 7 pm.

Ticket price and how to book
The ticket price for adults who wish to visit the show is Rs 150 per person. For children, it is Rs 75. Tickets can be purchased online from the website of the horticulture department. It can be also availed offline from the counters outside the venue.

Major attractions
Using one lakh carnation flowers, the main attractions include the Disney castle, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, honey in a flower, flower wall selfie point, bouquet with 2,000 flowers, and bunny rabbit. Moreover, 80 thousand carnation flowers were used in the design of the Nilgiris Mountain Railway engine and compartment replica.

Apart from these beautiful attractions, the show features 60,000 flower pots on display. A total of 2.60 lakh varieties of flowers have been displayed at 10 different structures in the garden.
