One killed, four injured at Oil India Limited fatal pipeline explosion

A worker was killed and another four injured following an explosion which took place in a pipeline of Oil India Limited (OIL).

The pipeline was repaired in Dibrugarh. The incident took place at Duliajan township.

An official said, " There was a blast while the valve of the pipeline was being repaired. We are probing the reason behind it.The deceased was identified as Rabin Orang, a contractual worker".


“Two of the injured have been shifted to Dibrugarh for better treatment, while the other two are admitted at OIL Hospital in Duliajan,” he added.
