Odisha Skill Development Authority chairman to speak at Shankara Cancer Hospital 10th year celebrations

Odisha Skill Development Authority chairman Subroto Bagchi will deliver a talk at Sri Shankara Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, a charitable cancer hospital in Bengaluru on August 13 to commemorate the decennial celebrations of the hospital.

The hospital, helmed by eminent cancer surgeon Dr. BS Srinath, has organised a three-day event from August 13 to celebrate its 10th year. Former Chief Justice of India Justice MN Venkatachaliah will kick off the celebrations with an inaugural talk on Saturday.

Experts from charitable cancer hospitals from across India will take part in a panel discussion on 'Achieving High-Quality Cancer Treatment at Affordable Costs - Challenges to Charitable Cancer Institutions," the hospital said in a press release.


On Sunday, the hospital will honour donors who supported the charitable cancer hospital in the heart of Benglauru a decade ago. About 1000 donors will visit the hospital premises to witness the impact their support has made on the society, the statement added.

On Independence day, the hospital will have a cultural event with about 300 of its patients who successfully fought cancer. The hospital project was backed by Sri Sringeri Shankar Mutt.
