Nuh: The administration has imposed Section 144 and temporarily suspended mobile internet services in Nuh district until Wednesday. Section 144 prohibits the gathering of more than four individuals, as well as the organization of rallies, protests, or processions without prior approval from the police authorities.
Gurugram: In the Sohna sub-division of Gurugram, all educational institutions will remain closed. However, normalcy persists in the rest of the city, with schools, colleges, and workplaces operating as usual. Gurugram ACP Varun Dahiya (Crime) reportedly said that traffic movement remains unrestricted and the internet services continue to function. Citizens were urged to disregard social media rumors and use the helpline number '112' for reporting any information.
Reports from the Times of India indicate the suspension of internet services in Sohna, Manesar, and Pataudi until further notice, alongside a directive that physical classes in schools remain suspended until August 2. Consequently, numerous office-goers opted for remote work as advised by their employers.
Notably, fuel stations have been directed to refrain from selling loose petrol and diesel to individuals, except in cases of emergencies in Gurugram. Additionally, the public has been urged to exercise caution and avoid posting content on social media that could potentially offend religious sentiments. Deputy Commissioner Gurugram emphasized the importance of preserving communal harmony and preventing tensions.
Noida: As per reports, CrPC Section 144 restrictions are in effect in Noida, Gautam Buddh Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh. The restrictions are active from July 20 to August 3.
Delhi: Delhi Traffic Police announced road closures due to ongoing protests. Amid concerns of potential VHP protests across Delhi, security measures has been heightened. The VHP identified 23 possible protest sites, with officials indicating that more locations could be added. The organization has also called for a Bharat Bandh to protest the Nuh violence and planned a protest in Noida.
The recent escalation followed a fresh wave of violence in Gurugram's Bhadshahpur area, where an eatery was set ablaze and adjacent shops vandalized by a mob on Tuesday afternoon. The mob targeted shops belonging to a specific community and even chanted slogans near a mosque in Badshahpur, leading to the shutdown of the Badshahpur market.
