NSD to organise 12-day acting, Direction workshop in Srinagar

The National School of Drama (NSD) is organising a 12-day workshop for theatre artistes in Srinagar to hone their acting and direction skills. The initiative of the NSD's Theatre in Education Centre in Srinagar in collaboration with the J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages is aimed to give an exposure to theatre artistes in the Kashmir Valley to industry standards on acting and direction skills. The officials said the workshop would help the artistes to get breakthrough roles on different stages and platforms.

"Theatre is a full-time job. This workshop is an attempt to upgrade the skillsets of artistes in Kashmir and we hope that it will get an enthusiastic response," said Arvind Kumar, director at the Union Ministry of Culture, who was in Srinagar.
