‘Not detained for hoisting Tiranga’: Sambit Patra explains CJP leaders’ custody after HC hearing

BJP National Spokesperson Sambit Patra reacted to the Delhi High Court hearing concerning Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka, alleging that their custody was linked to a breach of a previously signed peace bond and not merely their attempt to hoist the national flag. Patra criticised what he called the leaders’ “victim card” and said the Tricolour cannot be used as a cover for inciting unrest. The High Court questioned the legal remedy pursued by the petitioners, and the plea was subsequently withdrawn without the court expressing an opinion on the merits of the case.
