The incident occurred on July 8 in Nat Ki Madaiya village and has led to the arrest of two accused, while police continue to search for a third.
Dog scolding triggers brutal assault
The victim, Devendra, was reportedly at his residence when he reprimanded his neighbour’s dog for barking. According to a complaint filed by his father, Sukhbir Singh, this led to a violent reaction from the dog's owner, Satish, along with his brother Amit and son Tushar.The three allegedly emerged from their home and began assaulting Devendra and his wife, Munni Devi. The FIR states that during the assault, the attackers used a sharp object to slice Devendra's nose before fleeing the scene.
Devendra was immediately taken for medical treatment and has since undergone stitches to his nose. He is currently admitted to a hospital in Aligarh for further care.
Police register case, launch manhunt
Vinod Kumar, the in-charge of Beta 2 Police Station, confirmed on Thursday that a First Information Report (FIR) was registered under sections 333, 115(2), 352, and 118(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.Two of the accused have already been taken into custody. Police teams are actively searching for the third suspect, who is currently absconding.
Investigations are ongoing, and authorities have assured strict action against all those involved in the attack.
