No more missed potholes? NHAI to deploy AI to patrol India’s highways
India’s highway network is set for a tech overhaul as NHAI deploys AI-powered dashcam analytics across nearly 40,000 km. Route patrol vehicles will capture real-time data, while AI models detect potholes, cracks, encroachments and safety risks. With central dashboards and data tracking, the move aims to enable faster repairs, improve safety and modernise highway management.
