National Institute of Technology Mizoram (NIT Mizoram) announced the successful implementation of various initiatives aligned with the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020).

Prof. S. Sundar, Director, NIT Mizoram stated these initiatives aim to revolutionize education and provide comprehensive learning experiences to students.

Among the key initiatives are the introduction of ABC certification, Credit Banking System allowing credit transfer from IIT Madras, and Multidisciplinary Courses fostering interdisciplinary education.


He added that NIT Mizoram now offers multiple exit options for greater flexibility and has incorporated digital learning through MOOCs and SWAYAM courses.

“The institute encourages industry collaborations and real-world experience through Research Internships, while Minor Programs keep students updated on cutting-edge technologies. With an emphasis on innovation, an Innovation, and Incubation Centre (IIC) has been established. NIT Mizoram's dedication to excellence, in line with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is evident through students' remarkable achievements in Hackathons and their active engagement with the community”.
