New Delhi: A day after a breakthrough in the Red Fort blast case, the National Investigation Agency has announced its second arrest in the case. Jasir Bilal Wani, alias Danish, a key associate of the alleged suicide bomber involved in the blast, was arrested from Srinagar for modifying drones and attempting to make rockets.

Investigation revealed that Danish had allegedly provided technical support by modifying drones and attempting to make rockets ahead of the November 10 car bomb blast in the national capital which killed 13 persons, the agency said in a statement.

"The accused, a resident of Qazigund in Anantnag district of J&K, was an active co-conspirator behind the attack and had worked closely with the terrorist, Umar un Nabi, to plan the terror carnage," it said.

Several teams of the anti-terrorism agency are pursuing multiple leads and are conducting searches across states to identify every person involved in the terrorist attack, according to officials.

On Sunday, the NIA arrested a close aide of Nabi, who was driving the 120 car which exploded near the busy Red Fort metro station last Thursday. The car was found to be registered in the name of Amir Rashid Ali. On Monday, Amir was produced before a Delhi court which remanded Ali to a 10-day NIA custody. The accused was produced before the principal district and sessions judge. Media persons were not allowed to enter the court.
