The National Investigation Agency on Monday arrested another alleged associate of the terrorist involved in the Red Fort area car bomb blast, as part of its ongoing probe into the attack that killed 10 people and left 32 injured.

The agency picked up Jasir Bilal Wani, also known as Danish, from Srinagar in Jammu & Kashmir. Wani, a resident of Qazigund in Anantnag district, was held by an NIA team visiting the Valley in connection with case.

According to the NIA, investigations so far suggest Wani provided technical support to the terror module, including modifying drones and attempting to develop rockets ahead of the bombing. The agency has alleged that he worked closely with main accused Umar un Nabi as an “active co-conspirator” in planning the attack.

The NIA said it is pursuing several leads to unravel the wider conspiracy behind the blast. Multiple teams are conducting searches across states to identify all individuals linked to the operation.
