Lucknow, Jan 13 (IANS) High drama was witnessed at the Jhalkari Bai Hospital in Lucknow after a couple tried to flee the hospital, leaving behind a newborn girl on Monday.
The body of a newborn baby was discovered in a waste bin within a well-to-do group housing complex in Noida, as confirmed by the police on Wednesday. Investigations are actively ongoing to ascertain the identity of the infant and to identify those involved in the case.

Authorities disclosed that the infant's body was located in the basement of a tower within ATS One Hamlet, situated in Sector 104, at approximately 2:30 pm on Tuesday. A police spokesperson shared, "On Tuesday, Ravendra Mishra, the security officer of ATS One Hamlet, informed the local police about the body of a new-born being found in a dustbin in the garbage collection area in the second basement of Tower 7 of the society."

Promptly upon receiving the notification, officials from the local Sector 39 police station promptly arrived at the scene. Following a thorough inspection of the area, the body was securely retrieved and subsequently sent for post-mortem after adhering to due legal procedures. Jitendra Kumar Singh, the in-charge of Sector 39 police station, stated, "The body has been sent for post-mortem and its report is awaited. Further legal proceedings and investigation in the case would be carried out accordingly."


As of now, no formal First Information Report (FIR) has been filed regarding the incident. However, the police department is actively engaged in probing the matter further to uncover the circumstances surrounding the tragic discovery.
