New Nipah death reported in Kerala's Palakkad; 6 districts put on alert
Kerala's Palakkad district has reported a second Nipah case after a 58-year-old man from Kumaramputhur near Mannarkkad tested positive for the virus following his death in a private hospital at Perinthalmanna. Following the development, an alert has been issued to hospitals in Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur, Wayanad, and Thrissur districts.
