New Gujarat government to present first budget on February 24

"The budget session of the Assembly will start from February 23 and end on March 29. On the first day of the session Governor Acharya Devvrat will address the Assembly," Chaudhary said. "On February 24, the state budget will be presented," he said.
Gujarat Finance Minister Kanu Desai, who held the key portfolio in the previous government also, will present the budget for the third time. The session will have a total of 25 sittings, the Speaker said, adding five of them have been kept aside for discussion on various bills that the government wants to introduce and pass in the House.
