New Delhi: India on Thursday hosted ministers from two key pillars of Organisation of Islamic Cooperation - Saudi Arabia and Iran (also a neighbour of Pakistan) - to debrief on Operation Sindoor which it described as a response following the escalation by Pakistan through the Pahalgam terror attacks.

The Pahalgam attacks abetted and shaped by Pakistan that had been condemned by both Saudi Arabia and Iran figured prominently in external affairs minister S Jaishankar's back-to-back meetings with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi and Saudi minister Adel Al-Jubeir here.

The minister explained to his visitors that India's response was measured, precise and non-escalatory, only targeting terror infrastructure.
