Kushinagar: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday expressed hope that the new aircraft will provide better connectivity to Kushinagar, and that preparations are underway to link Kushinagar with Jewar.

Speaking at a function held here, Adityanath said, "You must have seen the global turmoil over the past five years: The first was the COVID-19 pandemic, then the Russia-Ukraine war, and subsequently the conflict involving the US, Israel, and Iran. Due to these conflicts, the delivery of new aircraft was delayed, and air connectivity for Kushinagar could not be established. Kushinagar has an international airport. Let the new aircraft arrive, and we will provide good service to Kushinagar."

The chief minister was in Kushinagar, where he laid the foundation stone for and inaugurated 464 development projects worth Rs 525 crore.

Adityanath said, "We are preparing to connect Kushinagar with Jewar as well. We are going to link it with Gaya. We will provide excellent service to Kushinagar. There is no need to worry. Let the good aircraft come."

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the airport on October 20, 2021.
