NCP's Nawab Malik makes allegations against NCB

NCP minister Nawab Malik on Friday made another sensational allegation against the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) when he claimed that the agency had also detained a relative of a BJP leader during the raid on the cruise ship but later let him go. The NCP leader said that he has evidence to substantiate his claims and that he would reveal the name of the BJP leader as well as his relative in a press conference on Saturday. "Tomorrow I will submit with proof of how a BJP leader's brother-in-law was detained along with another individual by the NCB when they raided the cruise ship. They were taken into the NCB office with some bags; however after a while the two were let off," said Malik.

The NCP leader insinuated that the NCB let off the BJP leader's kin after they got calls from BJP leaders. "When NCB Zonal Director Suresh Wankhede announced the raid, he claimed that there were 8 to 10 people. As a senior officer who is supervising the raid you should know how many people you have detained. They were ambiguous about the number of people detained because they wanted to leave out the two they had detained."

Malik said that he has video graphic evidence to show that the BJP leader's kin was detained along with another person but was let off.


The NCP leader had earlier created a stir after he presented photos and videos to show that a local BJP leader and another history sheeter who is absconding in a cheating case in Pune were involved in the raid.
