NCB busts drug party in Mumbai; 9 people including Bollywood star son taken for questioning

In a late night development, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) raided a cruise ship parked off the Mumbai coast on suspicion of carrying banned substances.

Sources said that the federal agency received sourced based information on Friday of drugs being carried on the cruise ship which was scheduled to leave for Goa on Saturday night.

“NCB team immediately got into action and commenced the inspection of the ship late Saturday night. Initially two peddlers were apprehended. This number has increased as all the members onboard the ship were searched ,” said a senior official requesting anonymity .


Sources added that nine people have been taken to the NCB’s office for recording of statements including the son of a Bollywood star.

The drugs apprehended includes cocaine, MDA, MD and cannabis (charas).

Sources further added that the ship will be allowed to travel it’s scheduled destination once the search operations are completed.
