The National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested two persons in connection with its probe against fugitive Dawood Ibrahim and his gang members.

Both arrested are close relatives of Dawood's trusted aide Chhota Shakeel. While seeking their custody, the federal agency told the court that they are probing a larger conspiracy allegedly planned by the gang of striking terror in the India by attacking eminent personalities including politicians, businessman and others by using explosives and lethal weapons.

It also told the court that the gang was planning to instigate and trigger incidents which may lead to the onset of violence in various parts of India. The two arrested are identified as Arif Abubakar Shaikh and Shabbir Abubakar Shaikh.
