Namma Bengaluru awards for Covid-19 heroes

Namma Bengaluru Awards Trust, backed by Junior Union IT & Skill Development Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar, has invited nominations from citizens on persons they think stood out during the Covid-19 pandemic with their work and merit recognition.

Namma Bengaluru Awards Trust, backed by Junior Union IT & Skill Development Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar, has invited nominations from citizens on persons they think stood out during the Covid-19 pandemic with their work and merit recognition.

The Trust has sought nominations in the categories of (a) healthcare professional of the year, (b) frontline worker of the year, (c) social work organisation/individual of the year and (c) media champion of the year.

The nine-member jury which includes South Indian actor Ramesh Aravind, and entrepreneur Pradeep Kar, will choose the flagship Namma Bengalurean of the year from the shortlists of the healthcare professional of the year and frontline worker of the year categories, the Trust said in a media release.


The Trust said it will receive nominations up to October 31 for these awards. Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar is the founder-trustee of of these awards that have entered their 12th edition.
