Naagin actress Madhura Naik says Hamas murdered sister, husband in front of their children in Israel

Madhura Naik, the Naagin actor, in an a video message shared on Instagram, said that her cousin sister and her husband were killed in "cold blood" in front of their children by the Hamas militants in Israel as the conflict spilled into the sixth day. The actor, who is a Jew of India origin, said "women, children, the old and the weak are being targeted" by the militants.

"I am a Jew of India of origin. We are now only 3000 in strength in India. On 7th of October, we lost a son and daughter in our family. My cousin and her husband were murdered in cold blood in front of their children. The grief my family faces today cannot be put in words," she said.

"The grief and emotions my family face cannot be expressed in words. Israel is in pain and the streets are burning in flames in the wrath of Hamas," she said.


Madhura Naik said that after so she posted a picture of her sister and her family on social media, she was severely: "It shows how deep the pro-Palestinian agenda runs," she said.



The actor said she does not support violence of any kind and has friends in Israel as well as who are Arabs. "My heart goes to all who are missing, killed and kidnapped" in the conflict, the actor said.

According to reports, the death toll in the Israel-Palestine conflict has crossed 3,000 with thousands of injured. Hamas militants, who infiltrated into Israel on 7th of October, are also believed to be holding over hundred Israelis as captives, among them children, elderly and young people.

Israel on Tuesday said it has regained control of Gaza border areas from Hamas, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warning that Israel's military campaign is only the start of a sustained war to destroy Hamas and "change the Middle East". Fears of a wider conflict have heightened if Israeli forces launch a ground incursion into Gaza.

Israel on its part has retaliated by launching air strikes on Gaza and ordering a total blockade of the Gaza Strip, cutting off essential supplies. The Israeli army has called up 300,000 reservists and massed tanks and other heavy armour near Gaza. On Tuesday, Hamas launched a new barrage of rockets from Gaza towards the city of Ashkelon.

"Around 1,500 bodies of Hamas (fighters) have been found in Israel around the Gaza Strip," army spokesman Richard Hecht said earlier.
The United Nations said more than 187,500 people had been displaced inside Gaza, most taking shelter in UN schools.
