Calcutta HC reserves order on central forces in violence-hit Murshidabad, TMC claims situation under control
The Calcutta High Court on Thursday ordered formation of a three-member panel - one member each from the National Human Rights Commission, West Bengal State Human Rights Commission and the State Legal Services Authority - to visit the violence-affected areas of Murshidabad to oversee the restoration of peace and rehabilitation of displaced people.

The court also said that central forces will continue in Murshidabad.

A bench of justices Soumen Sen and Raja Basu Chowdhury also heard a petition moved by BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari, who sought NIA probe into the Murshidabad violence.
