An Orange Warning has been issued for Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, and Raigad, with moderate to intense spells of rain likely at isolated places over the next 3 hours. Residents are advised to take necessary precautions and stay alert, the weather agency said.

BMC high tide warning

The BMC has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall across Mumbai city and its suburbs on Friday, with gusty winds reaching speeds of 50-60 kmph likely during the day.

According to the civic body, a high tide of 4.28 metres is expected at 2:18 pm, followed by a low tide of 1.74 metres at 8:22 pm. Another high tide of 3.68 metres is forecast at 2:09 am on Saturday (July 4), while the next low tide of 1.05 metres is expected at 7:44 am.

The BMC has advised residents to remain cautious as heavy rainfall combined with high tides could lead to waterlogging in low-lying areas and traffic disruptions across the city.

Mumbai monsoon troubles

The financial capital is in total disarray amid widespread waterlogging, crippled major traffic corridors, and two tragic fatalities linked directly to civic infrastructure failures.
