Mumbai: The Mumbai police Thursday recorded the statement of MLA Zeeshan Siddhique, son of late NCP leader (Ajit Pawar faction) and former state minister Baba Siddhique.

On October 12, Baba Siddhique was shot outside Zeeshan's office here in Bandra. The police has so far arrested 11 people and claims the murder was the handiwork of Lawrence Bishnoi gang, though the exact motive is yet to be ascertained.

Sources told ET that Zeeshan was questioned on the movement of Baba Siddhique on the fateful day and if there was any threat to him. Sources added that he was also questioned in connection with a slum redevelopment project that he has been protesting against.
