Mumbai Police on Friday received a threat call claiming that the two Pak nationals will enter Indian territory via coastal means to blow up the Taj hotel, according to the Times Now report.

Soon, police came into force and registered a case with CR No 714/23 under section 505(1) of IPC on August 31. Unit 9 was alerted and the investigation started. The accused phone was traced near the Santacruz Police station.

The call was received from mobile number 8928818281 claiming himself as Mukesh Singh.


Unit 9 soon apprehended the alleged accused and brought him to investigate. During the investigation, he confessed his wrongdoings and surrendered to the police.

Unit 9, who was investigating the case found out that the alleged accused is from Uttar Pradesh, his real name is Jagdamba Prasad Singh, 36. He is a resident of Mansingh 150, Dhobiyan Purwa, Durjanpur, Gonda.

The police have claimed that the appropraite legal action will be taken against him.
