Mumbai local train: 4-hour block on central line this weekend. Check list of lines to be impacted

Mumbai local train services will be impacted for a few hours tonight as Central Railways has announced a scheduled 4-hour maintenance block during the night of July 20th-21st, 2024. The block will be in effect from 12:30 am to 4:30 am (total duration: 4 hours). This maintenance work is crucial for the infrastructure upkeep and safety of the railway system, Central Railways said. As a result, Mumbai suburban traffic on both the Main and Harbour lines will be impacted. Passengers are advised to cooperate with the Railway Administration during this period of inconvenience.

Main Line: UP & DOWN SLOW and FAST lines between Byculla and CSMT (including the 7th Line and CSMT Shunting neck).
Harbour Line: UP & DOWN lines between Vadala Road and CSMT (including the 7th Line and CSMT Shunting neck-2).

Impact on Services

• Suburban services will not be available between Byculla and CSMT on the Main Line, and between Vadala Road and CSMT on the Harbour Line during the block period.
• UP and DOWN suburban services on the Main Line will be short terminated/originated at Byculla, Parel, Thane, and Kalyan stations.
• UP and DOWN suburban services on the Harbour Line will be short terminated/originated at Vadala Road station.

• First local after block for CSMT: Departure: Bandra 04:17 hrs Arrival: CSMT 04:48 hrs

The following Mail/Express trains will be short terminated at Dadar station: 12870 Howrah-CSMT Superfast Express, 11058 Amritsar-CSMT Express, 12052 Madgaon-CSMT Janshatabdi Express, 22120 Madgaon-CSMT Tejas Express, 11020 Bhubaneswar-CSMT Konark Express, and 12810 Howrah-CSMT Mail.
