Mumbai: Fire breaks out at singer Shaan's residential building, elderly woman hospitalised

A massive fire broke out in Fortune Enclave, the residential building of singer Shaan in Bandra West, Mumbai in the early hours of Tuesday. The fire broke out on the seventh floor and the singer stays on the eleventh floor.

Fire tenders were rushed to the spot. An 80-year-old woman was rescued and hospitalised after experiencing breathing difficulties and is currently in critical condition at a private hospital ICU.

Shaan was not confirmed to be present during the incident and there has been no official comment from him.



Authorities received the alert at around 1:45 am. The fire department dispatched vehicles to extinguish the flames and evacuate residents.


Initial investigations suggest a short circuit may have caused the fire, according to fire department officials. Both police and fire services are conducting a thorough investigation into the incident.
