A Mumbai police team has been camping in the national capital as it has not been able to serve the summons upon suspended BJP spokesperson, Nupur Sharma. The city police is probing her in a case filed by a Muslim outfit against her over her comments on Prophet Muhammad on a news channel.

Other than Maharashtra, similar complaints have been registered against Sharma and another BJP leader Navin Jindal over their comment on Prophet Muhammad including in West Bengal and New Delhi.

The city police have sent her the summons over the email and have asked her to be present on June 25 at 11 am to record her statement. A team has been camping in the national capital to serve the physical copy and also question her in the case. Sources say they haven't been able to trace her. "Her questioning is crucial to the investigation. A team has been camping her but has not been able to trace her," said a senior official privy to the development.
