According to the Lok Sabha bulletin, the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill, 2026, introduced during the Budget Session, has been listed for consideration and passage.
The government has also listed the Income-tax (Amendment) Bill, 2026 to replace the ordinance promulgated last month exempting foreign investors from income tax on interest income and capital gains from investments in government securities.
The Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development (Amendment) Bill, 2026 has also been listed for introduction, consideration and passage in both Houses. The Union Cabinet is learnt to have approved the legislation on Wednesday. The Bill proposes to provide statutory backing to the Udyam registration portal, create a national digital platform for MSMEs, enable online dispute resolution, improve liquidity for small enterprises and align the MSME law with the government's trust-based regulatory framework and ease-of-doing-business agenda.
The session will also see Parliament take up the Viksit Bharat Shiksha Adhishthan Bill, 2025, after the Joint Parliamentary Committee submits its report.
